Impromptu Location Based Services (iLBS™) is a middleware that enables the real-time, temporary provisioning of applications relevant to a particular location (shopping mall, gas station, airport terminal, entertainment district, etc.). By using iLBS™, mobile users are given the unimaginable service: endless number of applications to use without the hassles and delays of Over The Air downloads, installation and de installation. By utilizing GPS or other location sensing mechanisms, iLBS™ can deliver applications to any iLBS™ enabled mobile phone in only a few seconds. Applications are delivered on a lease basis and are removed when the lease expires or when the user moves away from the proximity of the application.
